“ If you want to eat some dim sum without paying sit down prices for takeout this is one of the spots you can hit as they are designed for takeout only. They have the standard dim sum fare of har gao ( shrimp dumpling) and sui mai ( meat dumpling ) which they have beef and pork so more variety here and the top thing I like to get here is the ham sui gok( have no idea what it is in English but it's a fried mochi dumpling with meat filling) aka fried football. They do a really good job of frying it here where it's crunchy and not super oily. Some places is too oily and no crunch, this one has just the right balance. They also have lunch plates to go with rice or noodles with 3 or 3 items for like $8.50 or something like that. Not many spots where you can get food for under $10 these days and they have much more variety than Panda Express. This would be more typical Chinese versus Chinese American take out. Sometimes they have a short line but it moves fairly fast and they consistently are making fresh food to refill the trays. I also see they do catering orders as someone came in to pick up like 8 party trays of food while I was there. Taste wise the food is decent. It's not some Michelin star place but food is solid for the price. Now my stars are more ranked price/quality ratio since the price of everything has gone up. But this is a spot where you can still get good bang for your buck. Not really any places to sit there so plan on take out only. Inside you can see what they have to add to your entree meal. I've only been around lunch time on the weekends since that's when I'm craving dim sum but not craving it enough to go wait for a table, then get served and pay more than double for the same type of food. One thing in this area is the parking can be hit and miss so you might need to circle a bit but there is a fair amount of parking on Granada which tends to empty as people are parked shortly just for shopping and getting take out. ”

“ This mom and pop bakery is kind of small. It gets pretty busy during the lunch hours. I went there on a Wednesday around 1:00PM and there was a line out the door. However, the line moves pretty fast. This is a take out place. There are metered parking and limited free parking around this bakery. They sell baked goods, dim sums, precooked food, and beverages. They also have frozen dumplings, wontons, and buns for sale. I bought four lunch boxes. They were $9.00 each (tax included). I had a choice of steam rice, chow mein, or stir fried thin noodles as starch. I ordered steamed rice and it came with three items from the steam table for each order. I also ordered the chow mein and it came with two items from the steam table. The items that I picked were spareribs with pumpkin, chicken feet, beef with mixed veggies, beef stew, and fried stuffed bean curd. They were all flavorful and fresh. They were also generous with the portions. I also tried their dim sums like shrimp rolls, chiu chou fan gor dumplings, and shrimps chives dumplings. They were very generous with the fillings for the shrimps chives dumplings. The dim sums were very delish. The steam buns that I ordered were custard, black sesame, and taro. They weren't overly sweet, which I really liked. ”
